Congratulations to the Annual Poker Tournament winners this year. For the first time ever, the top three winners were parrot heads with Bob Leible taking top honors. Alan Swan came in second and Donna Mosteller took third place.
On Saturday, April 20th, the WNYPHC joined with River Keepers for our semi-annual clean up of Niawanda Park. A former Parrot Head of the Year was even able to arrange a police escort for the event.
Looks like a bumper crop!
At our April 18th Phlocking, we presented Make A Wish with a check for $15,000.00, representing hard work and the proceeds of our Chillin'in the Caribbean fundraiser. Nice way to celebrate our 16th birthday! (Update: member Mike Owen wrote a great article on the event for the Island Dispatch - which subsequently got national recognition from PHiP! You can read the article here. Way to go, Mike!)
Three on a check is good luck: President David Cohen(R) and Vice President Bob Schile (L) present our check to Mary from Make a Wish (C) whilst G1 photobombs at far right
Congratulations to The Pinheads, the winners of the Phins & Pins Bowling League.
Congratulations to the Pinheads: (L-R) Ray Jaskowiak, Sandy & Nick DiMaria, Denise Jaskowiak
Our Friends to the North, the Hamilton Parrot Head Club threw their April in Parrotdise bash on April 6th and the 20 or so from our club in attendance agreed that the Hamilton club can "Party with a Purpose" with the best of them!

Chillin' in the Caribbean returned on March 23rd! The numbers are tabulated and it looks like we raised a record $15,000.00 for charity and everyone agreed that a great time was had by all. Thank you to everyone who came and "Partied with a Purpose" for Make-A-Wish.
Thanx to everyone who marched in the Old First Ward St. Patricks Parade with us! Beads were handed out and Steel Drum music filled the streets (thanx Tim) and Dennis made sure our float was a big hit.
Congratulations to the good folks who run "Dr. Andy's Day for Kids" They raised $30,600 for Sister's Hospital. Our own Dr. Dave was one of the celebrity bartenders and WNYPHC had a pretty good crowd in attendance.
The WNYPHC "Reeferettes" perform at Docs for Kids under the masterful direction of Choir director Dr. Dave
Bill Wharton, better known as "The Sauce Boss" was in Ellicottville on Sunday February 10th and delivered an absolutely smokinghot show - hotter than maybe even Liquid Summer! He paused near the end to dedicate a song to Jimmy Buffett and to the Parrot Heads who came to see him.
The Sauce Boss does his cookin' on the stage,
Stirrin' and a singing for his nightly wage.
Sweating and frettin' from his head to his toe,
Playin' and swayin' with the gumbo
The show at the Armor Inn on Fat Tuesday (February 12th) saw him add a bass player and a saxophone to the lineup (both local guys) and rock the heck out of the joint. What a Mardi Gras it was! Thanx Bill, for two great shows with "Killer Tone"! Check out our Links page to find out more about the Sauce Boss.
Thank you Mac McAnally!! Thanx for giving us a great performance at The Bears Den, thanx for your help with our charity effort and thanx for just being a great guy!
Jimmy, Mac deserves a raise!
Mac McAnally joins the WNYPHC for a "Mac & Cheese" moment before his show. The guitar in the forefront was signed by Mac and will be auctioned off at our "Chillin' in the Caribbean" event on March 23rd, with proceeds to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
